Corny with Almonds
Today we are talking about a 100% Algerian traditional sweet that has
been traded by Algerians since ancient times, sweet le corn stuffed withalmonds.
In this article, we will present the original recipe for this dessert,
but nevertheless, you can master the manufacture of this type of sweet by
replacing the almond filling with any filling you prefer from nuts such as
walnuts and almonds in the same filling. This is up to your tastes, but the
steps remain the same.
Almonds are sweet in taste, healthy and suitable for an infinite number
of foods, and their benefits are many, We mention some of them as follows: It
contains unsaturated fatty acids that help lower cholesterol. It is rich in
magnesium, calcium, vitamin E, and potassium. Therefore, it helps reduce blood
pressure and strengthen bones. Helps balance sugar in the body. Improves skin
elasticity. Improving mood. Helps increase sexual desire. If you are tired of
putting strawberries on cakes, you should know that it is possible to diversify
and put almonds. It relieves nausea that accompanies pregnancy, so pregnant
women can enjoy eating roasted almonds.
Recipe ingredients:
We need three parts of flour (250
grams) and half an amount of melted butter (85 grams), a pinch of salt, tablespoons of rose water and water.
stuffing:
500 grams of fluffy fun almonds,
250 grams of fine sugar, a medium spoon of lemon peels, a teaspoon of vanilla,
three eggs, half a liter of rose water, 500 grams of honey, and water.
Preparation:
First, mix the sifted flour with a little
salt and melted butter using your hand to mix the butter with the flour, then
wet it with water and rose water until you get a flexible dough, keep it in
transparency, and let it rest.
On the other hand, prepare the
filling by mixing the almonds with fine sifted sugar. Add the lemon peels
and vanilla. Wet the eggs until you get a homogeneous dough. Then form balls
the size of a walnut, then shape them like a cone, Put the dessert on a surface sprinkled with powdered
sugar. On the other hand, sprinkle the workplace with flour. Open the dough
with the manual dough opener, then pass it over the automatic dough opener.
After completing this process, cut it into circles with a diameter of 8 cm.
Using a brush, brush the surface
of the dough with egg white, pour the filling in the middle, then close the
circle by intersecting its ends to get a cone shape, then with the embossing
machine, emboss the surface of the candy in a consistent manner.
Put the candy in the cooking tray
and enter it into the prepared oven at a temperature of 200 degrees until the
candy acquires a yellow color, then take it out of the oven and put it directly
in the warm fragrant honey with rose water, then sprinkle the top of the candy
with hazelnut granules and so it is ready to be served.
note:
For chocolate lovers, there is another way to decorate this dessert, by
replacing the chocolate mixed with coarse almond flakes instead of honey after
dipping it in this chocolate and after it dries, we decorate it with golden
paper and ferrorushi chips as shown in the picture below the article.
